The birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Christians is a feast
day of celebration. Today, Gospel gives us the genealogy of Jesus from
Abraham’s lineage through the line of David, King of Israel which has a backed history
recorded from the celebration of the birthday of our blessed Mother Mary. To explore
the tradition further, Jesus the Messiah is the direct descent of Abraham and
David, and the rightful heir to David’s throne. God been so faithful, has out
rightly shown his Love to the world and to accomplish His promises to Abraham
and to David that He would send a Savior and a King to rule over the house of
Israel and to deliver them from their enemies. Account of the birth of Jesus
Christ, the Son of God was also recorded in the Gospel. Mary took it upon herself
believing in faith a burden of tremendous responsibility. She wholeheartedly accepts
the choice to become the Mother of God and was found worthy to bear the Son of
God. Notwithstanding the death punishment by stoning awaiting any betrothed
woman to bear a child outside marriage. But Mother didn’t resist, she humbly
submitted to God’s will. She was asked to assume a great risk. She could have
been rejected by Joseph, by her family, by all her own people. She hold firm unto
her believe and trust in God’s promises. That required faith and trust. Joseph,
a just and God-fearing man, believed the message given to him to take Mary as
his wife and to accept the child in her womb as the promised Messiah. Like
Mary, we should imitate Joseph as a model of faith for us. He is a faithful
witness and servant of God’s unfolding plan of redemption. Are we willing to
trust and obey the Lord as Mary and Joseph did? The moral lesion we should
learn from the example of the life well live by Joseph and Mary is to submit
willingly to God like them, when He calls us to serve Him. AVE….! MARIA AVE…!! MARIA AVE…!!! MARIA
What are the testimonies of what God has done
for you? Or are you wishing to be like someone else? If God want to make you a
famous preacher, a musician, a fashion model, or whatever, it will not take him
time to achieve that purpose in your life. Our God can do all things. The worst
mistake you will make is to be comparing yourselves with another person. Be
happy with whom you are and always appreciate God who made you so.
……………………………Your
testimony should not be your trouble……………………………………………
In life, we have our areas of differences and we
should not look down on ourselves when we did not measure up with another
person emotionally, physically and intellectual. There is no room for
comparison when it has to do with personality. Though, it is good that we
should be open for change and give room to learn from one another but, it
should not by any way belittle us or makes us feel less important than others.
We are the best of whom we are.
……………………………Remember
that your testimony is not your trouble……………………………………………
It is not the best life to compare yourself
with another person. You might weak up singing praises, looking good and Happy
but then, on stepping out you saw your friend who bought a brand new car; it
will down on you to start saying things like she or he is on a new car but here
I am battling with my old car. At that point in time, you have sold your joy
and happiness out for nothing and at that point you are turning your testimony
into trouble. In another case, your friend newly married husband is very
handsome like the Angel’s send down on earth. He walked passed you instead of
thanking God for his Good work you start comparing …and … well, you should
complete the statement.
……………………………Your
testimony should not be your trouble……………………………………………
I
consider it a bad act to compare your spouse with another or to compare your
ability, skill and Education. This is because, at the end of the exercise of
comparison, you will and up feeling pain or you deprive yourself happiness. run
your life and remember that no other person can be another you in the whole
world even in the world to come.
……………………………Your
testimony should not be your trouble……………………………………………
God created us special. And on that note, there
is a special grace and a special calling from God to do what he want us to do. Our
duty is to be ourselves and not to imitate someone else. The resultant effect
of copying other persons is frustration but to be you is the easiest way to
make positive result. This is because you have been you even in your mother’s
womb so; it does not take stress to be you.
……………………………God cannot make your testimony your trouble……………………………………………
God gave us his word that if we will put our trust in him, and
never let our heart be troubled; He will pay us back for all the unfair things
that have happened to us. Maybe you have been lied against, and that kept you from
getting your promotion. You may have been cheated in a business deal and you
lost a lot of money. Or maybe a good friend took advantage of you.

A man who is a mechanic at a large
diesel-truck shop narrated how he received an improper treatment for donkey
years in his working place. He was reduced to a subject of mockery, and all
manner of treatment was melted on him because he refuses to go with them to a
party. Among all the staff, he enroll as the overall best, and he record the
highest among all staff which is attributed to his hard working. But for seven years, he has no promotion, no
bonus and no increase in his salary.
Under such condition, He was expected to
get mad at the world. He could have quite the job to search for job elsewhere.
He could develop a harden hart and become stubborn. But in the contrary, He
maintained the hard working spirit in him, believing that one day, God will answer
his prayers. He is not working to make man happy but to please God.
A day come; a faithful day, when the owner
of the company called him. The owner was not among on the office day-to-day
activities, so the mechanic does not know him. But the owner told Him that he wants
to go on retirement and was looking for a capable hand to take over the
business. And that is what I called you to do. The owner said to the mechanic,
He said quickly, sir, I would have loved to own it but I don't have money to
buy it. The owner replied I have money; I need someone I can trust to keep my
dream of using this company to serve humanity even when I am not on earth. I
want to give it to you.
This is little to compare what God will do
for you if you will let him in to pilot all your affairs. The point is, you
must let God in. Allow him to handle it his own way, remember what the
scripture says, "Never avenge for yourselves, but leave the way open for
God's wrath. Whenever you try to pay back, you are stopping God from performing
in your life. You can as well do it your way or you do it God's way. If your
choice is the way of God, then you should forget using a negative word like: I am going to show them what stuff I
am made of. That will stop God from handling your case his way. The only
way out of trusting God to do something is by realizing that he is in
control.
SEEK GOD FIRST
A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealers showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation, his father called him into his private study, told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and how much he loved him. He handed him a beautifully wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed, the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with his name embossed in gold. Angrily, he raised his

10 Things You Should Know About Pentecost Sunday
Pentecost
Sunday falls this year on May 15. But many people, including
Christians, may not know why the day is special or what is celebrated.
Unlike Easter and Christmas, when colorful eggs, Easter bunnies,
Christmas trees and Santa Claus are harbingers of the upcoming Christian
holidays, there are no such social markers by secular society ahead of
Pentecost. For those who need a quick and basic understanding of what
Pentecost Sunday is, below is listed 10 things you should know about the
holiday.
2. Pentecost Sunday occurs 50 days after Easter.
3. The Bible records the Pentecost in Acts 2:1-13.
4. Pentecost comes 10 days after the Ascension of Jesus Christ.
5. Pentecost is also known as "the birthday of the Church".
6. Pentecost fulfills Jesus' promise to send the "Counselor" and "Spirit of Truth" in John 16-5-15.
7. Pentecost launches the large-scale spreading of the Gospel after Jesus' ascension. Acts 2:41 records that after Peter spoke to the crowd after receiving the Holy Spirit, some 3,000 people were baptized.
8. The Pentecostal movement derives its name from the New Testament event in Acts 2.
9. Jews also celebrate Pentecost, but not for the same reason as Christians. The celebration by Jews of Pentecost is to observe God giving the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai 50 days after the Exodus. The Pentecost in Jewish tradition takes place 50 days after Passover.
10. In Western Churches, Pentecost is usually represented with the color red, which symbolizes the fire of the Holy Spirit.
Living a Godly Life in an Ungodly World
The world of today is full of evil in disguise. we are called to be careful of the culture we adopt and what we do in the name of modernization. in Matthew 24:13 Jesus told us that those who holds to the end shall be saved. Simply put, our anchor is Jesus Christ. He is our only salvation from sin—the anchor of our souls (see Hebrews 6:19) that holds firm, especially when the storms of life threaten and when the enemy’s temptations blow hard against us.
Does this mean that you can escape the troubles of this world? No—but you can set the compass of your heart on Christ. Then, when the aggressive winds and tumbling waves of temptation come, you will not be overwhelmed by them.
Jesus knew that we would face serious temptations and trials. The night of His arrest, He prayed for us: “[Father], my prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it” (John 17:15-16).
Living a godly life in an ungodly world is realizing that you do not belong to yourself. As a believer, you belong to Jesus Christ. He is the Shepherd of your soul, your loving Savior, and eternal Lord—and from a spiritual standpoint; you do not belong to this world. Thankfully, you are not left in this world without help. Our heavenly Father has provided all that you need, through His Holy Spirit, to live free of Satan’s temptations, tactics, lies, and snares.
You can begin living the godly life Christ has given to you when you:
Have a heart focused and set on Christ. Be committed to prayer and the study of God’s Word. You can’t set your heart on Christ or learn to live godly lives unless you follow the instruction manual that God has given to you, and this is His Word—the Bible.
Refuse to get caught up in busywork, believing that you are pleasing to God. The greatest gift you can give the Lord is not a full schedule that includes one church meeting after another. Immorality can rob you of a beautiful relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, but busyness will prevent you from getting to know God in a personal way. You should not allow anything you are doing for God to prevent you from being with God.
Realize that God loves you with an unconditional love. When you draw nearer and nearer to Christ, your desire to give in to temptation will fade. No one will ever care as much for you as the Savior does. Christ died so that you might have eternal life. His grace is a gift that cannot be purchased through good works or outstanding behavior. He loved you even before you were born, and He loves you now. You cannot earn His love, and you cannot lose it. When you yield to sin and sense that there is a distance between the Lord and you, it is not because His love for you has faded.
There are consequences to sin that are unavoidable, and one of these is that you sense God’s rebuke because you have grieved His Spirit. But when you pray and ask Him to forgive you, He does—and He restores your fellowship with Him because His love has the ability to cover a multitude of sins (see James 5:20).
Invest in your spiritual future. You are involved in a spiritual battle. Unseen forces wage war against you, but the ultimate victory is won in Christ. Only faith in Jesus Christ wins the battle. It is faith that is not embraced one day and forgotten the next. Instead, it is faith that is built and maintained through love and devotion to God’s Son.
If you are struggling to live a godly life in an ungodly world, stop and seek Him. Ask Him to help you understand the depth of His love for you. When you do, you will find that God will give you all that you need to live a godly life in an ungodly world!
How
You Can Achieve Your Dreams
1.
Make it specific
“I dream of being famous” may be
easy to say, but much more difficult to do, simply because it’s vague. You
can’t accomplish a vague dream. Do you want to be on Broadway? Do you want to
get into film acting? Or do you want to be a famous athlete? Be specific, and
you’re more likely to work towards your dream.
2.
Dream big…
The sky’s the limit. According to a study published in the Journal of
Personality and Social Psychology, having high aspirations for your goal is
linked to higher discipline. So go ahead and set big goals for yourself,
because those goals might give you the motivation you need to stick to your
desired habit.
3.
…but dream right…
Dreaming big is important, but how
you dream it might be preventing you from getting where you want to be. Those
whose dreams include the process are more likely to stick to their goals than
those who just dream about the desired outcome.
4.
…and take it one step at a time
Though dreaming big is important,
don’t forget to set little goals for yourself. You can’t expect to be an expert
pianist overnight; you have to form the habit of practicing every day.
5.
Contact people in the field
Have you always wanted to start your
own bakery, but you have no clue where to start? Don’t just give up: contact
self-started bakeries to get advice from those who are in the field.
6.
Talk to your support system
Do those closest to you know about
your dream? Perhaps part of the reason you haven’t worked towards your dream is
because you’re scared your friends or family won’t support you. Talk to those
you surround yourself with, and realize that they care about you and will more
than likely support anything that makes you happy.
7.
Consider obstacles
Sometimes, there are glaring
obstacles that may be preventing you from reaching your goals. For example,
does realizing your dream mean a change of career paths? Now, before you pick
up your cell and quit your job, consider the benefits and consequences, and
figure out whether you can work at your dream while still working at your
current job.
The Dream Must Bring
You
Closer to God
God is his omnipotent is a great God and have made us in his image and likeness to do as he has done even greater works await us.
From a poor missionary, I wanted to become a millionaire missionary. It was mad. It was audacious. It was totally heretical. And no one in my circle of friends ever tried it. But the thought of becoming a millionaire entrepreneur and a servant of God at the same time fascinated me no end.
From a poor missionary, I wanted to become a millionaire missionary. It was mad. It was audacious. It was totally heretical. And no one in my circle of friends ever tried it. But the thought of becoming a millionaire entrepreneur and a servant of God at the same time fascinated me no end.
Why? Two reasons.First, instead of always begging
money from people for my own personal needs, I wanted to have enough for my
needs and more than enough to give to God’s work.
Second, I was constantly faced by
the needs of the people I was trying to help — not just their spiritual needs
but also their financial needs. I preached about prayer, faith, salvation,
healing, and heaven. But I never talked about money, even if that was what they
wanted me to do. How could I even dare teach them to grow financially if I was
totally ignorant about money? (I’m embarrassed to say this, but at that time,
the best skill I possessed concerning money was begging for it.)
Third, I wanted to help people
financially.
But I couldn’t — because I didn’t
have any.
No, I didn’t love money. But I began
to develop a passion for two things about money: how to grow it and how to give
it away.
I find this very difficult to
explain to religious people. But today, when I create wealth, I feel God’s
Presence in a very palpable way. Because it isn’t just for me. I create wealth
to fulfil my Life Purpose — which is to love as much as I can.
